The Pixelbook is Google's flagship Chromebook that serves as a halo device for the the Chrome OS platform. It serves as the successor to the Chromebook Pixel lineup and was announced at Google's October 4th Hardware Event.
The Pixelbook's announcement at the event highlighted some new features that would be introduced to Chrome OS, such as Google Assistant support. The Pixelbook also came with Android app support out of the box. The announcement also covered several new features that its predescesors did not have, such as a convertible form facter (which Google referred to as a "4-in-1 design"), stylus support, as well as its thinner and lighter design.[1]
The Pixelbook followed the footsteps of its predescessor, the Chromebook Pixel 2, and began with a $999 starting price, but it has three configurations:

The Pixelbook is the first (and currently only) Chrome OS device to use NVMe storage (though restricted to one configuration).
It also holds the record of having the most storage ever available on a Chromebook, maxing out at 512GB.
The base model also offers the most storage out of any base-spec'd Chromebook at 128GB.
It remains the only Chrome OS device to start with 128GB as its base configuration.
The Pixelbook is the first Chrome OS device to ship with Google Assistant support out of the box, and remained the only one until the Pixel Slate released a year later.
It's also the first Chrome OS device to utilize the new Chrome OS keyboard layout, which features:
A new set of top row keys
A dedicated Google Assistant button
A new Search/Launcher key that matches the Launcher icon on the Shelf.

While the previous Pixel Chromebooks had 12.85" displays, the Pixelbook's display size was reduced to 12.3"
Furthermore, while the previous two used a 2560 x 1700 resolution, the Pixelbook was reduced to a 2400 x 1600 resolution, dropping the PPI from 239.15 to 234.5.
While most Chromebooks have the Chrome logo on the lid, the Pixelbook has the Google "G" logo.
This is in contrast to its predecessors, which had a colored light bar on the lid (this is likely to match the look of Google's Pixel phones.)
